What is Lent?

Lent is a very dedicated time within our church. Lent is a time of prayer, discipline, and self-examination in preparation for Easter and the resurrection of Christ. Lent is 40 days long just like many stories in the bible, from Ash Wednesday until Easter not including Sundays.

Do you have to make a sacrifice for Lent?

In the ECO Presbyterian denomination, we believe that lent is a personal time of reflection. If you feel led to give up something for the season of Lent, to show your dedication to Christ alone, we feel you should follow that leading.

What is PPC doing to teach and provide through Lent?

PPC has partnered with the Burgettstown Ministerial Association to bring our community a Wednesday worship through the season of Lent! Each week we go to a different church in the area where a different pastor brings the message. We invite you to join us with our community of believers to bring glory to his name.
